A little bit of navel gazing

Last week’s Blog Post was our 150th.

We’ve reached countries from Albania to Zimbabwe, and have finally got through to Iceland at last.

Our most popular post so far (i.e. it got the most views) turns out to be Hangover cure. The suspicion is that the word hangover is the attraction and there was probably some disappointment when people with sore heads realised the post was about iron oxide and the legacy of mining in the North York Moors. We’re not too proud to make the most of titles to pull people in.

It turns out that our Blog is more steady and reliable (over 39,000 views since April 2013) than spectacular and rip-roaring. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing. It rather suits the North York Moors National Park – which is full of hidden gems to be discovered, and is seldom ostentatious.
