  1. How does this action, together with other work to alleviate downstream flooding, sit with the picture on page 20 of the July issue of Dalesman which shows Boy Scouts clearing drainage channels?

    • Occasional rotational clearance of ditches at the right time of year can be useful – but I’m afraid I don’t know what the picture from the Dalesman is illustrating.
